Overlays of stiffer material hold your feet precisely in place and protect your toes in contact with things like winches and cleats. Shock-absorbing midsoles cushion your feet when you’re standing at the helm for hours on end. The waterproof lining goes right up to the ankle and they’re designed to dry quickly, with removable footbeds, when they do get wet inside.
